She was classically trained in violin and performed internationally with a youth symphony throughout her teens
but went on to trade her acoustic violin for a 5 string electric violin and began performing in rock bands,
starting her own band in
in 1979. This multi-talented musician also plays
guitar, mandolin, and keyboards. Throughout the eighties she performed in punk and rock groups, primarily with her own band
Natasha
in which she was lead singer/songwriter as well as violinist. After their first record release,
Natasha toured US cities throughout the midwest/eastern states and Canada as well as having a loyal Detroit
area following. Their popularity was boosted by numerous
tv/radio appearances and press in both the US and Europe.

Other bands she performed with after Natasha disbanded
include Dark Carnival
(which was made up of a rotating cast of Detroit musicians, including Ron & Scott Ashton and Jim Carroll)
and League of Nations.
Several years ago she took her talents down a different road...that of a 16th century musician...and performed
extensively at renaissance and celtic festivals with the band GutterPups, where she hooked up with Walter
der Rattenfanger.
