One day he went to a renaissance festival and bought a bamboo flute
from Rob Yard, maker of fine bamboo flutes, and decided to become part of the
Renaissance world. He has not looked back since.
Wally developed the Renaissance character of "Walter der Rattenfanger" after Gibbon's
song "The Ratman" (being the pie-eyed-piper, and all...) which is still one
of his favorite songs to play. He first formed a band called "The Kings Nuts", playing the
traditional whaling and sailin' songs at festivals, played a season with Gibbon the
Troubadour, and was a part of
Djillia Phrlango.

and France,
